Claims Procedure
Just follow these simple steps when making a claim:
- The Customer must take their car to a qualified repair facility and the vehicle must remain there until all repairs are completed.
- The Repair Facility must call C.A.R.S. to open a claim before any repairs are performed on the vehicle. If the Repair Facility calls before or after our operating hours, an answering service will take a detailed message and we will contact the Repair Facility on the next business day.
- The Repair Facility must obtain an Authorization Number from C.A.R.S before any repairs are started. C.A.R.S. will not be responsible for paying any repairs done before an Authorization Number is given.
- Once all work is finished, a complete copy of the repair invoice must be faxed or mailed to C.A.R.S. for payment.
To be processed, a repair invoice contain the following items:
- The Authorization Number as issued by C.A.R.S.
- The warranty on all labor and replaced parts
- VIN number
- Current mileage
- Customer's name and address
- Repair Facility's letterhead with complete address/zip code
A repair invoice without the above items will be returned by mail.
